Driver, 35, Killed When Garbage Truck Crashes, Falls Onto Railroad Tracks Below I-95 Ramp: Mdta

A 35-year-old man driving a garbage truck was killed when the vehicle crashed, fell off a ramp from I-95 southbound and landed on a set of railroad tracks Thursday afternoon, April 4, authorities said.

It happened at the ramp from southbound I-95 to southbound MD 295 in Baltimore City shortly after 2:15 p.m., according to the Maryland Transportation Authority (MDTA) Police Collison Reconstruction Unit.

Officers responded and found that a white Mack garbage truck had been involved in a single-vehicle crash and fell onto the railroad tracks below the ramp.

The 35-year-old Hanover man driving the truck was pronounced dead at the scene, the MDTA said.

No other injuries were reported.
